Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published or submitted for publication.
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • APA 6th or 7th edition referencing is used.
  • The manuscript is prepared following the authors' guidelines.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • JEL Codes are given

Author Guidelines

Instructions / Guidelines for the Authors

Scope:

  • The paper should belong to core business subjects. Articles on sports, literature, fiction, biography, fashion, philosophy, etc., fall outside the scope of the IJELCS.

Manuscript Preparation:

The manuscript should:

  • be in the English language,
  • be double-spaced and written in 12-point font, using Times New Roman,
  • all pages should be numbered,
  • be between 6,000 and 8,000 words, including references,
  • include a title page with a running head, title, author(s) names and affiliations, and an abstract.
  • provide a footnote on the same sheet that should give the name and present address of the author to whom reprints will be sent.

Abstract:

  • The abstract should be a brief study summary (150-250 words) and should not contain abbreviations or references.
  • Include up to five keywords at the end of the abstract.
  • Provide a JEL classification number.

Headings:

  • Use headings and subheadings to organize your paper.
  • Headings should be written in the title case and clearly reflect the section's content.

Citations and Reference List:

  • Cite all sources of information used in the text, using in-text citations.
  • APA 6th or 7th edition must be used.

Figures and Tables:

  • Figures and tables should be labelled and numbered in APA style.
  • Include a caption for each figure and table, describing the content in enough detail to be understood without referring to the text.

Grants and funding

  • Acknowledgments and information on grants received can be given before the references or in a first footnote, which should not be included in the consecutive numbering of footnotes.

Final Review:

  • Proofread your manuscript carefully for errors in grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
  • Ensure that all references are correct and complete.
  • Submission of a paper will be held to imply that it contains original, unpublished work and is not being submitted for publication elsewhere.
